In August 2010,
Some
of us attended the homecoming celebrations for the
72nd IBCT and the 453rd ICTC this August. It
was great to see these young men and women walk off
of the busses and be dismissed into the arms of
their waiting loved ones.

Our August 14 box packing was a HUGE
success! The items donated for this event were
from the Foundry United Methodist Church, Lakewood
United Methodist Church, Windwood Presbyterian
church and various individuals throughout the
community. The Foundry congregation alone
donated enough items to fill the first 100 packages!
This was one of our largest box packing days ever!
Thank you to everyone who donated and worked to fill
220 packages of love and support!
Let's keep
this momentum going with our October 2 Halloween
Treats for the Troops to be held at Community of
Faith Church. This third annual event should be our
largest of the year. Last year we shipped more than
2,000 lbs of candy to our service men and women.

featured Cypress Cares and the Emergency Health
Centre, as part of an effort to promote attendance
at the c0-sponsored Support Our Troops event in

Elementary SchoolHoliday
Boxing Party On Monday,
December 29, 2008 a group of Cy Fair ISD students got together
and packaged up 85 boxes for our troops. What
a wonderful way for our children to experience what
this holiday, the season of giving, really means. All
85 boxes were filled with snack foods which we hope
all will enjoy just a few short weeks from now when
they reach their final destination. Pictured
below are some of the students who participated in this
