Feedback from the
Frontlines:
The Reason We Do What We Do!
We have a couple of great scrapbooks with letters,
photos and certificates in them. We try to bring them to all
of our "events" so that we can show them to you. Below
are just some of the emailed notes we've received.
They are the feedback that tells us how we are doing.
We hope you enjoy reading them! Our Thanks to Mrs. Sarah
Bray for putting the scrapbooks together.
Please pray that
the Lord would go ahead of these men and women on their
missions, providing protection and guidance to each. "See,
I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the
way and to bring you to the place I have prepared." Exodus
23;20.

thank you on behalf of myself & my chaplain.....you folks are

Mrs. Robbins, Cypress Cares and students and

blessing your packages were to me and the

It was the closest we've

I would like to thank you and your students for
the care package I
received today. All of us here really
appreciate packages from back

receive the can of spaghetti, as that is
what I will enjoy

are starting to get some good weather now, and are anxious to
come home soon. I live off of 2920 between Spring and Tomball,

I just wanted to send a quick email saying thanks to everyone
who has sent packages to the sailors on USS Mason. We all
appreciate it so very much. We have another month to go before
we reach homeport Norfolk; therefore, we probably won’t be able
to receive anymore mail in a timely fashion before we get home.
However, I would like to send my upmost respect and gratitude to
everyone involved for the support they’ve shown during our time
out to sea. Once again, the packages and cards were greatly
appreciated and well received. The work this organization does
is very valuable. Thanks so much!!!

I am in Afghan with HMLA-267 (Marine Light
Attack Helicopter Squadron). We have been out here since early
May and only have a few months left. We are the key factor of
Air Support for the guys on the ground doing what no one else
wants to. We operate 24 HRS a day at an extremely high tempo.
All the heat and hard work is worth it when we get packages out

thankful when people back home spend their own time to do
something to say thanks. Ya’lls support reminds why we do what

Greetings from Bagram!
I would like to express my appreciation for
making my deployment much better knowing that we have the
support of others.
I am currently deployed from Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson AZ.
I am doing postal duty on this deployment and recently we
received a box full of Halloween goodies that we were able to
share with many people here on base. Its great to know that
people appreciate the fact that we are over here doing what we
are doing. It makes it MUCH MUCH easier to get through the day
knowing that. We miss our friends
and our families and even our very own nice
comfy beds that we left back in the states. Halloween is just
around the corner and even though we do not get to participate
in some of the things going on back home, the bags of candy that
you sent makes it so we don't miss out completely. I attached a
picture of me and my co workers that was taken one day at work.

Dear Cypress Cares Team
Just wanted to say thank you for the candy you sent
. It arrived safe and un-melted . The temperatures
average 98 to 100+ degrees here. I’m sure it will be
eaten before it melts. Sorry but we couldn’t wait
for

makes all of us feel to receive packages from

taste of home no matter how big or small. You
all have big hearts to go with your generosity. I
have put Thomas’ picture on the wall next to

it is always tough to be away from home. Thankfully,

Today I received a
care package containing many nice things,
including some white cotton workout socks, tuna and
tootsie pops. Thank you! Shared them with the
men under my lead (not the socks, of course, but we
had a guy who appreciated them LOL) and we all
received a nice lift from it. Thank you very much.

It was a pleasure to open my in-box
to your e-mail. Rest assure that the cookies you sent us
were put to good use. Thank you for placing us on your
mailing list.
You mentioned that you had lots of
supplies for the children of
Afghanistan and it just so happens that we have
access to lots of children of Afghanistan. Our area of
operation is the province of Farah which is the fourth
largest of Afghanistan and is one of the least
developed. It is situated in the west and its arid
landscape is traversed by a single river that remains
dry most of the year. It is predominately an
agricultural community with many of its citizens
struggling to find work in this manufacturing and
industry poor province. In the province of Farah, we run
a clinic twice a week that helps on average about 500 to
600 people. We also run a supplemental food program
on Saturdays that averages about 40 people a
week. The children here would love your gifts and are in
need of school supplies and shoes.
Thank you
once again for your continued support. I can't tell how
much you all help us knowing that there are great
Americans back home that think of us and pray for us.

for all that you guys have done with your wonderful gift

just wanted to say thanks. It was a long deployment in
Afghanistan but well worth it. I know that we
are doing great things over there for the Afghan
nationals and there is change happening. I just want to
let everyone know that there thought and prayers didn't
go unanswered. It was hard being away from our families

quick. Like I said I'm going home to a
great

there have been many changes and it was great to have
everyone's thoughts a prayers. If your readers have
time when they read this to take a moment to stop and
say a quick prayer for the ones that are still over here
defending out GREAT country that would mean a lot to me
and lets not forget about the ones that are back in the
states as well serving because without there support
none of this could be taking place. I think to many
