This is a complete list of dates on which you should fly your U.S. flag.  The flag should be at full staff unless otherwise stated. 
 
 
 
  • January 1 - New Year's Day
  • January 20 - Inauguration Day
  • Martin Luther King Jr's birthday -Third Monday in January
  • February 12 - Lincoln's Birthday
  • Washington's Birthday - Third Monday in February -
  • Easter Sunday (variable)
  • Mother's Day - second Sunday in May
  • Armed Forces Day - third Saturday in May
  • Memorial Day (half staff until noon) - last Monday in May
  • June 14 - Flag Day
  • July 4 - Independence Day
  • Labor Day - first Monday in September
 
September 11 (half staff) - Memorial of 9-11-2001
  • September 17 - Constitution Day
  • Columbus Day - second Monday in October
  • October 27 - Navy Day
  • November 11 - Veteran's Day
  • Thanksgiving Day - fourth Thursday in November
  • December 7 - Pearl Harbor Day
  • December 25 - Christmas Day
