Financial Supporters

Beginning September, 2010, and to assure the privacy of our donors, we have updated this page so as not to show the name/location of any donors without their express written permission. We do not give, trade or sell donors names or addresses with any other business or individual.

Any business or individual that donates items or money to us will be given the option to be listed on the "Special Thank You" page of this website.  Otherwise, they will remain anonymous.  We do keep record of who our financial donors are, and this information is kept by our staff.  The exception to this statement is those who donate cash (as opposed to checks/credit card donations) that do not request a receipt for their contribution, as many people will simply hand us a few dollars and walk away.

For the 2010 tax year, Cypress Cares was not yet identified as a 501c3 organization by the Internal Revenue Service.  The IRS determination of our 501c3 status was made on 24 June 2010. This being the case, our taxes for 2010 were filed on IRS form 1120 and not IRS 990.  A copy of the 1120 is available by request via email at info@Cypress-Cares.org.  Beginning with the 2011 tax year, III Cypress Cares, Inc. will file a 990, and that form will be available for public viewing on our website. A copy of our IRS determination letter is also avialable upon request.

Our Mission Statement can be found on the "About US" page of our website as well as on the back of all of our brochures.

Many, many individuals from across the country have given to Cypress Cares, so that we may continue to support our troops.  As it would be impossible for us to list all of them, please know that we thank each and every one of you for your generous support and contributions.

Thank You to Those Who Have Helped Us To Collect Donations, Box and Mail Our Packages!
At one point we were naming them all, but now, there have been more people helping than  can be remembered.  Thank you again as your support of Cypress Cares and of our troops has been wonderful!

A note from the mom of a US Army Soldier

It's time for a VERY LARGE THANK YOU from the A-Co. 5/20In: 3/2 SBCT.  From the soldiers there -- they have received their Christmas packages -- and Wyatt reports that the Commander there has asked that Wyatt extend to all a very large thank you from all of them.

They were so very happy to receive the care packages -- and were over-whelmed by the generosity of all of you!   It has truly moved them much -- they find it totally awesome that you all have done so much to remember them this Christmas season.

And -- again -- THANK YOU from me and, I'm sure, all the other families of those soldiers too.  It really is over-whelming to think that you and all of the Cypress Cares volunteers and contributors are helping to make their time there a little less lonely by showing them that you all care and truly support them.

While Wyatt did not say so, I have the feeling there were some very humble and excited young people there -- and, yes, I'll bet there were a few moments of silent private tears of joy from those soldiers (even though they would try so hard not to let anyone else see them.  I know you have truly warmed their hearts and helped to ease the pain of being away from family and friends they know.

Again - thank you all so much!
Cheryl - Proud Army Mom of Wyatt - Iraq
